A celeriac conundrum
I was waxing lyrical about celeriac soup recently and Jenny of Silver Screen Suppers fame commented that she loved this soup, but was unsure about how to tackle a celeriac and so had never made it herself.
So Missy B and I got together to provide this handy step by step guide:
Take off the protective outer layer, if you purchased from a supermarket.
Use a large knife to carefully quarter the celeriac.
Trim the ends.
Use a peeler (!) to peel the knobbly skin.
Hey presto, you are good to go.
Try it in the lovely recipe I blogged about recently: celeriac soup.
Very useful, thank you. Also an excellent manicure 🙂
Why thank you – I didn’t get a manicure specifically to peel a celeriac! When are you coming to London? xx
Genius! I am going to tackle a celeriac soon! Honest! X
